There are different membership sections to cater for adults of all abilities. Those wishing to join are invited to make an arrangement with the Secretary to come and play with other members at a club session, so they can see what is on offer and discuss which membership section would suit them best. Only Full members are entitled to vote at an AGM. The membership year starts on 1st April and subscriptions for new members joining during the course of the year are appropriately adjusted.
There are different playing membership sections to cater for youngsters of all ages and abilities. Those wishing to become either Student or Intermediate members are invited to make an arrangement with the Secretary to come and play with the Club Captains to confirm that their standard is appropriate for the section in question. All other sections are dependent entirely on age, not standard. The membership year starts on 1st April and subscriptions for new members joining during the course of the year are appropriately adjusted.
Associate – £120
This category is for adults of a reasonable playing standard, but lower than that of Full members.
The main club mix-in sessions are on Monday & Wednesday mornings and Thursday evenings.
Adult Improver – £80
This category is for adults with less experience ranging from complete beginners to those who are just a bit “rusty” and in need of practice to regain their former standard.
The club mix-in session is on Thursday evening.
Student – £100
This category is for young people of a good playing standard, similar to that of Adult Full members. If they are in full time education they can remain in this section up to the age of 25. When starting work
over the age of 18 they transfer to Full membership. The main club mix-in sessions are on Saturday & Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings.
Intermediate – £80
This category is for youngsters up to the age of 18, who play at a modest level.
They are allowed to join in club mix-in sessions on Thursday evenings, and on Monday & Wednesday mornings during the school holidays.
